BioGaia Philippines exhibited at the 116th PDA Annual Convention & Asia Pacific Dental Congress 2025. Despite the overlap with a public holiday and the elections, more HCPs than in previous years—dentists, hygienists, students, and other professionals—visited our booth. Thank you for stopping by.
Conversations were notably practical this year. Most questions focused on dosing timing, co-use with existing care, and how to explain probiotics to patients—clear signs that many clinicians are already in the implementation phase.
“I now have a step-by-step way to brief patients. We can start this tomorrow.” (General Dentistry)
Rising Interest in Probiotics
Interest in probiotics × oral care was exceptionally high. Many visitors already knew of or used BioGaia. We also observed several instances where clinicians who routinely use Prodentis recommended it to peers—evidence that understanding is spreading organically within the clinical community.
“Great for reinforcing maintenance-phase behavior. Easy to explain and continue.” (Periodontics)
Oral Care and Systemic Health — Awareness Is Moving Forward
Among HCPs, recognition that the oral microbiome contributes to systemic homeostasis is clearly advancing. Discussion moved beyond “what it is” toward how to run it in practice, with active exchanges around:
-
Orthodontics: supportive management when hygiene is challenged by appliances
-
Pediatrics: choosing the right form and counseling caregivers (drops when chewing tablets is difficult)
-
Implant peri-care: considering supportive measures around surgery (always case-by-case, clinician-led)
-
Prevention: positioning as an easy-to-continue self-care during recalls
Two recurring success factors emerged: adherence (palatability, dosage form, simplicity) and patient education (clear, brief scripts and handouts).
