On April 30, 2026, BioGaia Philippines (BGP) hosted BioGaia Academy: Translating Probiotic Science into Clinical Practice, co-hosted with Dr. Noemi L. Sibal, at La Maja Rica Hotel, Tarlac City. We were honored to welcome 25 dentists and healthcare partners, and we sincerely thank everyone who joined us for an afternoon focused on practical, evidence-based learning.
From “Science” to “Chairside Practice”
This BioGaia Academy was designed to go beyond product overview and into real clinical implementation—how to explain probiotics to patients, how to support adherence, and how to integrate guidance into everyday workflows. The program moved smoothly from opening remarks and a BioGaia introduction to the main lecture, Q&A, certificate distribution, and networking—creating a setting where professional exchange happened naturally.
Dr. Jane Erica Acosta’s Lecture and a 45+ Minute Q&A
The main session was delivered by Dr. Jane Erica Acosta, BGP’s official speaker. The audience listened attentively throughout the lecture, and the Q&A continued for more than 45 minutes, reflecting strong clinical engagement.
Most questions went beyond general curiosity and focused on topics that directly impact real-world use:
product positioning and practical usage (which patient profiles, and how to recommend), interpretation of scientific and clinical evidence (what data supports—and what it does not), clinic operations and on-site availability (patient counseling, continuity planning, team alignment), and shared feedback from existing Prodentis users and clinicians who already carry the product.
“What made this valuable was not only the evidence, but the practical steps for helping patients stay consistent.”
“We could finally discuss implementation, not just theory.”
(Attendee comments)
These conversations highlight a clear shift: interest is moving from “Does it work?” to “How do we apply it well in daily practice?”
Raffle Gift: Artwork Kindly Provided by Dr. Baby Teresa Teofilo Rodriguez
To express our appreciation to attendees, we were grateful to receive artwork created by Dr. Baby Teresa Teofilo Rodriguez, generously provided through her kindness. At Dr. Rodriguez’s own recommendation, the painting was offered as a raffle prize during the program, adding a memorable and warm moment to the event. We extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Rodriguez for her support.
Strong Requests for Continued Seminars
After the session, many participants expressed interest in attending future programs and encouraged BGP to continue hosting science seminars. We strongly agree: beyond sharing product information, it is essential to provide clinicians with a bridge between evidence and real-world implementation. We look forward to building more learning opportunities—grounded in science and shaped by clinical realities.
